Tampa Bay's premier television station, Tampa Bay Arts & Education Network, is seeking technically inclined college students for our unpaid Spring and Fall internship programs. The Network is a non-profit organization that has served Tampa Bay for over 30 years on cable channels Spectrum 635 and Frontier FiOS 32, and on watch.tbae.net
Production/Editor: 1 position
Duties: Technical and Production Intern will be assisting in managing television content. This includes but not limited to downloading content, shooting in studio or on location, and editing in Final Cut. We are looking for an intern with great digital editing skills with an emphasis on mature, professional behavior, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn. In return, you will get real life experience at a high tech television station serving over a million people in Tampa Bay, a reference letter from your supervisor, and video clips for your demo reel.
** Production may also take place during the course of the internship and interns will be notified in advance. A black shirt will be required during productions.**
Marketing/Development: 1 position
Duties: Marketing and Development Intern will be assisting in managing television marketing and donor development. This includes but not limited to creating marketing materials for programs, creating social media content in studio or on location, and creating public relations materials for donors. We are looking for a intern with good people skills with an emphasis on mature, professional behavior including showing up on time and strong desire to contribute. In return, you will get real life experience working behind the scenes at a high tech television station serving over a million people in Tampa Bay, and a reference letter from your supervisor.
Schedule: Schedule is flexible to accommodate school schedule. But a minimum of two days a week commitment is required.
