In a remarkably stunning 5 minutes, this short film displays Florida’s ecology in a light that will fuel your curiosity in our ecosystem and leave you in awe of its natural beauty.

Envisioned by Ian Edward Weir from The Florida State College of Motion Picture and Recording Arts, "A Light Skip Into Flight" captures the serenity and beauty of Florida’s ecology. This episode features Weir’s artfully orchestrated cinematography in his short film recognized in 2015 at the Gasparilla International Film Festival in Tampa, Florida.

Self described as an “elaborate music video for the African Tongue Drum” of which he’s most known for, "A Light Skip Into Flight" is a compilation of nature shots captured through out Florida’s national parks and refuges by Weir for nearly a year. Weir’s connection to nature, music, and film has been most impactful through out his career, and he is now able to combine his passions through numerous award winning feature length documentaries, short films, music videos and public service announcements.
