This week on The Tampa Natives Show host Mario Núñez relives the memories of Tampa's historic Lowry Park.

From the early 1960's the park provided a gathering place for family's throughout the city.   It featured a scaled down mock up of Tampa known as "Safety Village", midway amusement rides, a modest collection of zoo animals (including Sheena the elephant), a train ride around the entire park, and a Rainbow Bridge that deposited youngsters into a magical place called "Fairyland". Original airing: September 19, 2016.
